History of Novotema
- 1976 - the company was founded in Sarnico
- 1994 - achieved ISO 9001 quality certification
- 1995 - moved to larger premises in Villongo (Bg), in the vicinity of Lake Iseo, Italy. Manufacturing facility over a total area of 23,000 square meters with a staff of 55 people.
- 2003 - achieved ISO TS 16949 quality certification for automotive supply
- 2003 – acquired by investment company 3i
- 2007 - acquired Fabelgom, a manufacturer of rubber moulded components with presence in the medical and sanitary markets
- 2008 - through a joint venture in India , Novotema strengthening its global presence and expanded into the Asian market
- 2008 – opened new sales office in Madurai, India.
- 2011 – developed and patented a process and equipment for the testing of rubber membranes
- 2012 - acquired by investment company AXA (Ardian)
- 2012 – invested in a new medical cleanroom (ISO Class VIII) for manufacturing biomedical and pharmaceutical components
- 2012 - achieved ISO 13485 quality certification for medical devices
- 2013 – developed and patented a method for the modulation of friction coefficient in a rubber product via plasma technology
- 2014 - achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification
- 2015 - acquired by IDEX Corporation, Novotema became a unit of the IDEX Sealing Solutions group, joining existing companies Precision Polymer Engineering and FTL Technology in the UK
- 2016 - achieved OHSAS 18001 certification, staff of 170 people
